INTERMAGNET is an international program to provide quality controlled geomagnetic observatory data through a website and an ftp-server. Both archive and near-real time data are provided. The INTERMAGNET observatories in Niemegk, Wingst, Tristan da Cunha, St. Helena are directly operated by GFZ. GFZ supports a further 15 observatories with instruments and data calibration services, assisting them to conform to the standard for INTERMAGNET membership. GFZ is also engaged in the INTERMAGNET governance and provides DOI minting services for the final geomagnetic data products of all 180+ INTERMAGENT stations worldwide, published annually as Intermagnet Reference Data Set (IRDS) via the domain repository GFZ Data Services.
